Part 1: Ragheed and his passion for flying

Ragheed, an eight-year-old like other children of this age, has the trait of curiosity, research and discovery, what behind his passion for flying!
Airport were like the first communication bridge of his emotion.
Rageed's family used to take him to the airport during his childhood, where they are receiving their arrivals, while Rageed were in absolute free to unleash his childish sensation in the meditation of the plane, keen on with the movement issued by the roaring whispering, which is were like a music tone playing in his conscience.

In 1963, when Ragheed was eight years old, there was an incident that contributed to his passion for flying and increased his love of it. Ragheed continued his high school, but before completing the secondary stage, he applied for admission to the Air College on the basis of a special course for military pilots.These special courses were attended by students of the Air College secondary school in addition to their aviation practice and was admitted to the Air College after passing medical examinations and began practicing the profession he wished.

Part 2: Ragheed, the artist & sensitive human

Ragheed started his hobby of painting from his earliest times, which became part of his life through his imagination, simulating the events and situations with his feelings.

Ragheed was able in a short time to innovate in his various drawings through the use of pen, water and oil painting, and his creativity led by the arts of wool work and the fine arts of sculpture through the sculpture of bread, which helped him to practice that hobby in prison.

Prisons were as a gate widening buried his skills Since his imprisonment and movement between them, where he spent nearly 38 years, the hobby of painting was the best companion to emulate part of his life in an expressive framework based on his creative ideas to form expressive paintings comparable to the drawings of artists in this area.

His creations evolved to lead himself to the art of wool work, sculpture and the latter made him master the remnants of bread he was fed from prison.

One of the situations that almost held his imagination to practice the hobby of painting is to prevent them, and while he was in Tadmor prison in 1997, where he remained during a period of his transition to multiple prisons, the prison administration needed a painter and was chosen and then returned to practice the drawing.

His love and passion for painting led him to acquire diversity in this hobby and to master and develop himself to practice other hobbies such as sculpture and wool work, which is equally important.

Part 3: Rageed's family.

Conditional visits
Ragheed, had blessed by a baby after his arrest and imprisonment, where he left his wife pregnant at her seventh month, where he did not get to see and embrace him until after a lapse of time. This could not be described with any matter of vocabulary. He has met with his son Wael at the beginning of 1997 when his son was 15th of age.

Throughout his imprisonment his family visited him in a various prisons, which were three visits to prisons. Palmyra - Sednaya - Adra, the last of which was on Saturday 24/12/2011.

The prison administration then stipulated that Ragheed should wear the penal dress as a condition for his visit, and he refused them to prevent his family from visit.

Forced Migration
The suffering of Ragheed's family increased after the Syrian revolution.He was forced to emigrate abroad in 2013 after receiving a threat to his son Wael from an unknown person, describing him as a traitor son.In the light of the events and the intensification of the conflict, the family was forced to migrate to Egypt for a period of six months and then move to Malaysia as it does not require a visa for Syrians.

The suffering of Wael son with his wife, especially after the illness of his mother, who was severely infected by environmental pollution "bad weather", which deteriorated and died in a hospital, which stayed for nearly a week before obtaining a burial permit.

Currently, Wael has become lost between the requirements of life and waiting for an exit visa to a foreign country to settle with his wife and himself related to his father detained and his homeland Syria...

Ragheed transfered among several prisons

Ragheed al-Tataridi, son of Damascus, Syria, was born and raised since his birth on December 25, 1954.

His story with detention and his transferring through several prisons, with 38 years as a model of real suffering, mimics part of the wrong policies and practices regardless of the justifications.

The State Security Prison in Kafr Sousse was initially imprisoned since November 24, 1981 until January 1, 1985. It was transferred to Mazzeh Prison until May 21, 1986, and then transferred to Palmyra Military Prison until August 20, 2001. The military prison until 27 June 2011, including the prison of Adra until the date of April 2, 2016 and finally the prison of Sweida until this date, sitting there to await a fair trial after nearly 38 years since the date of his arrest.
